Manchester United reportedly face stiff competition from Inter Milan in their bid to sign England international defender Danny Rose, according to the Mirror.
The Premier League side, who have landed defender Victor Lindelof (Benfica), striker Romelu Lukaku (Everton) and midfielder Nemanja Matic (Chelsea) this summer transfer window, have been freshly linked with a move for the Tottenham Hotspur left-back ahead of the 2017-18 top-flight campaign.
The 27-year-old, who has 12 international caps for The Three Lions, scored two goals and provided four assists in 21 appearances in all competitions for Spurs last season, who finished runners-up to eventual league champions Chelsea.
Rose, who arrived at White Hart Lane back in July 2007 following his move from Championship outfit Leeds United, has netted 10 times in 144 games overall for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
And despite the left-back’s ongoing knee injury recovery, the report suggests United and Inter have reignited their interest in signing the Spurs star this summer.
Rose signed a new £70,000-a-week five-year deal only last summer, but can expect a pay rise if he leaves the North London outfit this transfer window.
