Manchester United are ready to announce that Luke Shaw has agreed a new bumper long-term contract with the club, according to The Sun.
The 23-year-old looked to be on his way out of Old Trafford with boss Jose Mourinho publicly criticising the left-back’s performances on more than one occasion last term.
But the England international has been a shining light in a difficult start to this campaign for the Red Devils and has become a key player for the Portuguese coach.
Now, after getting the green light from his manager, the defender is set to put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal worth £50million.
Since his £27million switch from Southampton in 2014, Shaw has made 75 appearances for United, scoring his one and only goal to date in the 2-1 victory against Leicester City on the opening day of this season.
