Manchester United have reportedly launched an extraordinary £92m bid for Wales international superstar Gareth Bale, according to Don Balon.

The Premier League side, who preserved their 100 per cent start to the 2017-18 league campaign after defeating Leicester City 2-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday, have been continuously linked with a mega-money move for the Real Madrid winger this summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old, who has 66 international caps for The Dragons, has scored one goal and provided two assists in just three games for the defending La Liga champions this term.

Bale, who arrived at the Bernabeu back in September 2013 following his then world-record £85.1m switch from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, has netted 68 times in 153 appearances in all competitions for Zinedine Zidane’s side overall.

With next Thursday’s deadline day looming, the report suggests Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho has sensationally reignited his interest in luring the Welshman to United this summer by submitting a late £92m offer for his services.

The Red Devils have signed four players this transfer window so far, defender Victor Lindelof (Benfica), striker Romelu Lukaku (Everton), midfielder Nemanja Matic (Chelsea) and welcomed back forward and free agent Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
