Manchester United winger Memphis Depay will be offered an escape route by Galatasaray during the January transfer window, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who dropped down to eighth in the English top-flight standings on Saturday following their disappointing 0-0 draw at home to newly promoted Burnley at Old Trafford, could opt to offload the out-of-form forward in the New Year having failed to adapt to the division.

The 22-year-old, who has 25 international caps for the Netherlands, has been restricted to just seven appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils so far this season – mounting up to just 126 minutes of first-team football.

Depay, who arrived at The Theatre of Dreams from Eredivisie outfit PSV Eindhoven back in June 2015 following his £25m switch, is deemed surplus to requirements under new Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho this term.

Having scored seven goals and provided 10 assists in 49 games in all competitions for United last campaign, the report suggests that Turkish giants Galatasaray are ready to gamble on the Dutchman’s services with a tempting £15m offer.
