Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic a whopping £250,000-a-week contract in a bid to land the superstar this summer, according to the Daily Star.
The 13-time Premier League champions, who currently sit sixth in the English top-flight standings, despite defeating arch-rivals Manchester City 1-0 last weekend at the Etihad Stadium, have made the Paris Saint-Germain striker their main transfer target once the 2015-16 campaign has concluded.
The 34-year-old, who has an astonishing 62 goals in 111 international caps for his country, has found the back of the net a remarkable 35 times and provided 16 assists in 40 appearances in all competitions for the already crowned Ligue 1 champions so far this season.
Ibrahimovic, who will become a free agent in June after failing to agree a new deal in the French capital, is also attracting interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.
However the report suggests Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils will offer the Swede a staggering two-year deal worth £24m to join the Old Trafford outfit instead.
