With a Europa League semi-final to come against Sevilla on Sunday, Manchester United’s marathon season has not yet run its race.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are aiming to build on finishing third in the Premier League by securing a first trophy in three years.

In January the Red Devils signed Bruno Fernandes whose arrival has produced a real upturn in form.

United have since been linked with moves for various other players in this summer transfer window as they look to close the gap to Liverpool and Manchester City next term.

But which players could possibly be on their way to Old Trafford? Here’s three names the Red Devils have been linked with over the last seven days….

Kalidou Koulibaly

This link seems to have been around forever, but once again it seems that Manchester United are in the hunt for one of Serie A’s star defenders.

According to the Evening Standard and the Express the Red Devils are considering signing Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Senegal international has played 246 matches for the Italian side, catching the eye of a number of clubs across Europe.

United seem to be one of the frontrunners to land the 29-year-old, but he is valued at around £72million by his current club.

Vinicius Junior

England winger Jadon Sancho has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months but it’s another attacking name which has hit the press this week.

According to Defensa Central, the Red Devils have made an enquiry about Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior.

The 20-year-old has netted six times in 37 appearances for the La Liga side in what was his second season in Spain since a switch from Flamengo.

However, United fans shouldn’t get too excited as the Brazilian is in Zinedine Zidane’s long-term plans and has a £590million release clause.

Aaron Ramsey

Now to a player who Premier League fans will know a lot about after his 11-year spell with Arsenal.

Sky Italy report that United chief executive Ed Woodward has been put on red alert after Juventus Aaron Ramsey available.

The Wales international only made the move to Italy from London at the end of the 2018/19 season but it’s thought that he doesn’t figure in new boss Andrea Pirlo’s plans.

The Red Devils tried signing the now 29-year-old when he was at Cardiff, before he opted for Arsenal instead.

But with these latest developments, maybe fans will get to see Ramsey in a United shirt after all…
