Netherlands international Memphis Depay is set to snub interest from outside of England and join one of Manchester United’s top-flight rivals, according to L’Equipe (via the Express).

The Premier League side, who defeated Swansea City 3-1 on Sunday at the Liberty Stadium to move up to sixth place in the standings, are being tipped to offload the winger on loan during the forthcoming January transfer window.

The 22-year-old, who has 25 international caps for his country, has been restricted to just seven appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils so far this season, failing to find the back of the net or provide an assist.

Depay, who arrived at Old Trafford from PSV Eindhoven back in June 2015 following his reported £25m switch, has failed to live up to expectations at The Theatre of Dreams after being handed the illustrious number seven shirt.

The report suggests that the Dutch forward will snub interest from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille in the January transfer window, as he wants to remain in England, according to L’Equipe journalist Mathieu Gregoire.
