Manchester United’s £47m move for midfielder thrown into doubt

Manchester United’s reported £47 million summer move for Lazio midfielder has been thrown into doubt by the player’s agent, according to LaLazioSiamoNoi via the Daily Express.

Rumours had suggested that the Red Devils, who have been linked with the attack-minded player since last summer, would complete a move for the Brazilian at the end of the season, but the 22-year-old’s agent, Juliana Gomes, says that no offers have been received.

He told TutterMercatoWeb: “I have nothing to say about this. We haven’t received any offers, there’s nothing.”

United are set for another big summer in the transfer window following a disappointing campaign that will end trophyless after they were knocked out of the Europa League by Premier League rivals Liverpool on Thursday night.

Anderson joined Lazio from Santos for £6.6 million in 2013, and has scored an impressive eight goals in 39 appearances in all competition for the Rome-based Serie A outfit this term.
