Name: Daley Blind
Position: Defender
Helping the Red Devils to three clean sheets from four matches, the Dutchman earned Shoot’s award as the club’s most impressive performer last month.
Besides the crushing 3-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur, United were able to offset their rampant FA Cup form with a solid month in the Premier League – and Blind again played a key role.
The versatile ex-Ajax man has been relatively unheralded for his displays this season, but has been a steadying influence next to the ever-improving Chris Smalling in the middle of Louis van Gaal’s defence.
Blind contributed to shut-outs against Everton, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace in April, even collecting the man-of-the-match gong for his showing against the Toffees.
The 26-year-old received just two bookings prior to May, and United will continue to rely on his dependability as they hunt down Arsenal and Manchester City in the race for the fourth and final Champions League place.
