Middlesbrough and Norwich City are both reportedly monitoring Fulham’s star striker Ross McCormack.

The Championship and Premier League club are both on high alert as the Cottagers aim to tie down the Scotland international to a new deal at Craven Cottage this summer in order to ward off interest from other clubs.

The 28-year-old, who joined Fulham from Leeds United for £11m last year, scored 19 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions for Kit Symons’ men last season.

McCormack played the full 90 minutes in Fulham’s opening day Championship draw at Cardiff City, but it is unsure on whether the forward will remain at Craven Cottage past the close of the summer transfer window on September 1.
