Middlesbrough have wrapped up the signing of Scotland international forward Jordan Rhodes on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
The Championship side, who currently sit just one point behind leaders Hull City, have finally landed the Blackburn Rovers talisman after a lengthy pursuit throughout the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old, who has 13 international caps for his country, scored 11 goals in 26 appearances in all competitions for Paul Lambert’s men this season.
Rhodes; who arrives at the Riverside for a reported fee of £9m, plus add-ons, cost Blackburn £8m back in August 2012 from Huddersfield Town.
Any potential deal for the Scotsman seemed to have fallen through yesterday after Middlesbrough released a statement claiming the striker failed to agree personal terms with the club.
