Garry Monk has rarely found himself in greater demand.
According to a report in the Croydon Advertiser the former Leeds United boss is the new bookies favourite to take over as manager of Crystal Palace.
Within a week of leaving Leeds, Monk has been linked with the jobs at Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Hull but now seems close to getting the job at Palace.
The attention is in contrast to the situation that he found himself in after being sacked by Swansea in December 2015.
Despite being talked about as a potential England manager Monk found himself out of football for six months before taking on the dubious honour of managing Leeds United under the ownership of Massimo Cellino.
After surviving a season in that job the task of taking over from Sam Allardyce will seem fairly straightforward with Palace anxious to get the new man quickly in place to put his transfer plans in place for the new season.
