Man United fans enjoyed a summer window similar to that of a 12 year old’s on their FIFA Career Mode, it appears that Ed Woodward and Jose Mourinho were given free reign off the European market to pick and choose whomever they wanted to bring in.
The Red Devils had their key business done ahead of the season, with the addition first of Eric Bailly, followed by three marquee signings in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and the world’s most expensive player, Paul Pogba.
With their bitter rivals, Man City, also spending big under the guise of Pep Guardiola, the Theatre of Dreams faithful can’t fail to be impressed by the summer dealings done by ‘The Special One’, and the same seems to be true from the wider world:

The signing of Pogba by @ManUtd is a watershed moment for @premierleague . First time a huge foreign star in his prime has come to England.

The deals also brought United fans untold delight, the like of which hasn’t been seen since the departure of Sir Alex:

Some fans got worryingly excited over their signings:

Whereas fans from the rest of the country were quick to ridicule the money spent on bringing Pogba back:
Surely Pogba's only worth £40m max though? Fair play for attracting him but that's a huge waste of money.

Whatever people think of the deals, there has been a swell in pride that top talent are choosing the Premier League, and this Manchester Evening News reporter seemed encouraged that the Red Devil’s were once again behaving like they club they are in the market:
Mourinho, Pogba, Ibrahimovic, Mkhitaryan, Bailly in one summer. Some statement from United, the Glazers and Woodward. Big club acting big.
