Napoli have reportedly joined the chase to sign Belgium international and Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi according to Calciomercato.it.
The Blues, who currently sit seventh in the Premier League standings following their 2-0 victory over Hull City last time out, only brought in the striker during this year’s summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old, who has seven international caps for Belgium, has scored three goals and provided one assist in seven appearances in all competitions for the Blues so far this season.
However Batshuayi, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille back in July following his reported £33m transfer, is yet to start a Premier League fixture under manager Antonio Conte and is behind main forward Diego Costa in the pecking order.
Hence Napoli’s interest, who are looking for new offensive recruits following the news that fellow summer signing Arkadiusz Milik will be ruled out until 2017 with a serious knee injury.
However Napoli aren’t the only Italian suitors to fancy themselves of luring the Belgian to Serie A, as AC Milan are also reportedly keen on his services.
