Newcastle fans react to Tammy Abraham’s latest comments on Chelsea future

Newcastle United will be returning to the Premier League in August after clinching the Championship title last time round.

Rafa Benitez’s men were under pressure to secure an immediate return to the top-flight, given the amount of money they spent as well as the stature of the club, and they did not disappoint by winning 29 of their 46 league games, finishing nine points clear of third place Reading.

And the Magpies even pipped Chris Hughton’s Brighton to top spot on the final day of the campaign to round off a stunning season for the North East giants, and one which has earned them a spot in the 2017/18 Premier League.

And attentions have already turned to their top-flight campaign next term as Benitez looks to reinforce his squad in a bid to be competitive in the Premier League, with Christian Atsu the first man through the door on a permanent deal.

And they have also been linked with a move for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, who bagged 26 goals in all competitions for Bristol City last season, yet his recent comments in The Daily Mail may well have thrown any move into doubt.

The 19-year-old has yet to decide on his future, and this seemingly lack of commitment to any move has stimulated quite a response from Newcastle fans on Twitter, with several suggesting that the club should end their pursuit of Abraham as a result…
