Newcastle, Stoke and Southampton eye £15m move for Champions League striker

Newcastle United, Southampton and Stoke City are reportedly lining up a £15 million summer move for Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost, according to Sports Bild via Read Bundesliga.

All three English clubs are looking to strengthen their attacks at the end of the current campaign, but the Magpies will have to secure Premier League survival first if they are to have a chance of bringing the 26-year-old to St James’ Park.

Meanwhile, with Saints forward Graziano Pelle likely to make a move back to Italy, Ronald Koeman is also looking for another big attacker, with the 6ft 5in target man certainly fitting the bill, while Mark Hughes wants some more competition for Mame Biram Diouf and Bojan up top for the Potters.

Wolfsburg, who will face Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals next month, want £15 million for Dost, who has scored 46 goals in 108 appearances in all competitions since making the move to the Bundesliga from Heerenveen.
