Chelsea made it seven wins on the bounce as they ended Tottenham’s unbeaten Premier League start on Saturday.
The Blues fell behind to Christian Eriksen’s 11th minute strike at Stamford Bridge, yet goals from Pedro and Victor Moses secured the hosts a tenth win of the campaign, and in turn regained them top spot in the division.
This was all after Manchester City and then Liverpool reached the summit on Saturday afternoon, with Pep Guardiola’s City winning 2-1 at Burnley in the early kick-off before Jurgen Klopp’s Reds overcame a stubborn Sunderland 2-0 at Anfield.
Arsenal kept the pressure on the top three with a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday, but Manchester United dropped more points at Old Trafford after being held by West Ham, with manager Jose Mourinho sent to the stands for kicking a bottle.
Ronald Koeman suffered an unhappy return to Southampton as his Everton side lost 1-0 at St Mary’s, while Watford remain eighth despite a 1-0 home defeat to Mark Hughes’ Stoke.
There was a nine-goal thriller at the Liberty Stadium as Bob Bradley secured his first win as Swansea boss in incredible circumstances, as his side beat a struggling Crystal Palace 5-4 to pile more pressure on under-fire Alan Pardew.
Elsewhere, Hull held West Brom to a 1-1 draw at the KCOM Stadium, while champions Leicester continue to struggle as they could only manage a 2-2 draw at home to newly-promoted Middlesbrough.
In what was a thrilling weekend in the Premier League, there was one game in particular that many were talking about on Twitter, with there a mixed reaction to what went on in South Wales on Saturday.
Some loved the spectacle…
Score in the Swansea/Palace game after 65min was 1-1. There after 2-1, 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4, 4-4, 5-4! Swansea's 4th & 5th in added time!

… while others were less than complementary about the quality of football on show…

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea beat Spurs at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in what many viewed as a game of two halves…

Spurs will kick themselves after that first half. They were excellent but failed to make the right decisions. Chelsea are grinding.

We went too long in the second half without putting pressure on Chelsea, but other than that, I don't think we could have given much more.

While one Chelsea fan was already looking forward to his side pitting their wits against Guardiola’s City next week…

And at Old Trafford, United boss Mourinho was sent to the stands for the second time this season, and it was a decision that received mixed views from those on Twitter…
mourinho getting sent to the stands for a kicking a bottle what is football coming too
— Callum Hill (@CallumHill96) November 27, 2016
So Pogba dives, gets rightly booked + mourinho throws a wobbler and gets sent to the stands. Can't stand petulant unprofessionalism. #mufc

People moan about no passion in football. Mourinho shows some passion gets sent to the stands. Refs worry about your jobs not the coaches
— Isaac Berry (@Isaac_Berry9) November 27, 2016
Given the frequency with which Mourinho is being sent to the stands, Rui Faria might as well be appointed manager 😂 #MUNWHU #MUFC
