Norwich City have beaten Tottenham and Liverpool to the signing of Coventry starlet James Maddison, signing the midfielder on a three-and-a-half year deal.
The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the best young prospects in the Football League, and had been heavily linked with a move to both Spurs and Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.
However, the Canaries leapfrogged their Premier League rivals to secure a late deal for the skilful individual, and he will re-join the Sky Blues on loan until the end of the season.
Maddison has scored two goals in 13 appearances in all competitions for the League One high-flyers this term.
