Norwich City are reportedly closing on a deal to sign AS Roma striker Mattia Destro on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old, who spent the second part of last season on loan at AC Milan, is once again out of favour under Rudi Garcia at the Stadio Olimpico.
This has presented a fantastic opportunity to the Canaries and boss Alex Neil, who’s keen to add a centre forward to his squad.
Destro has a great pedigree having represented Italy on eight occasions and scored 29 times in 68 Serie A games.
The arrival of the former Inter Milan academy forward would allow Gary Hooper to depart, with former club Celtic said to be interested in re-signing the 27-year-old.
