The turnover at Meadow Park continues as Arsenal bade farewell to another international star this week – Germany’s Josephine Henning left for pastures new, just a few months after winning an Olympic gold medal.

She joins Spanish trio Natalia, Vicky Losada and Marta Corredera on the ‘out’ list for this year’s FA Women’s Cup winners.

And the recently-departed Casey Stoney has signed for Liverpool Ladies for 2017, saying in a statement, “This is a great move for me, joining a fantastic club, and I am really excited for the new season.”

Reading will also be without goalscorers Jade Boho-Sayo and Helen Ward when the Spring Series starts in February; both have left the club.

WSL2 newcomers Brighton will be managed by former West Ham star George Parris on an interim basis as they continue to search for a permanent boss.

Birmingham have appointed Marc Skinner as a replacement for the long-serving David Parker, who left the club one week ago.

In the last round of Women’s Premier League fixtures before Christmas; Tottenham Hotspur continued their unbeaten streak in the Southern Division, thrashing Portsmouth 4-0, but Northern leaders Middlesbrough were stunned at Stoke, falling to a 5-1 defeat.
