The top-flight new boys sprung into action during their third league game of the season, capping off a remarkable 4-3 away victory at West Ham United to record their first-ever Premier League win.
But despite Callum Wilson bagging his first senior hat-trick at the Boleyn Ground, the Cherries could do with an extra forward in their ranks if boss Eddie Howe is to steer the club clear of the bottom three in their debut campaign.
It has been widely reported that Bournemouth have tabled an offer for Crystal Palace centre forward Glenn Murray, who has featured twice in the league for Alan Pardew’s Eagles so far this season, and scored in his side’s 4-1 success against Shrewsbury in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.
The 31-year-old, whose former clubs include Stockport County and Rochdale, scored 15 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions for Palace last term, although it now seems he is deemed surplus to requirements at Selhurst Park.
