Palace hunt down Silva

Crystal Palace are pulling out all the stops to appoint Marco Silva as their new manager.

According to a report in the Daily Mail Palace have quickly identified Silva as their first choice to replace Sam Allardyce after the former England boss decided to step down.

After almost saving Hull City from relegation Silva is one of the most in demand managers in the game with his Hull contract expiring at the season.

Porto are understood to have opened talks with representatives of the Hull boss to take charge of the Portuguese giants forcing Palace to move quickly.

Allardyce’s sudden departure has shocked Palace with chairman Steve Parish hoping that the club were about to enjoy a period of stability.

Getting the right man in quickly to oversee the summer transfer window is the priority with Silva the first choice to pick up on Allardyce’s Great Escape and steer Palace into the top half of the table.
