Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino admits he has become increasingly concerned about Erik Lamela’s injury.

The 24-year-old, who remains Spurs’ joint club record signing, alongside Moussa Sissoko, after arriving at White Hart Lane back in August 2013 from AS Roma for a reported £30m, has scored two goals and provided seven assists in 14 appearances in all competitions so far this season for the North London outfit.

However, the Argentina international winger has been sidelined with a hip injury since October – last appearing for Tottenham in their goalless draw against AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Pochettino, 44, said during today’s press conference, “It’s still difficult to give a time for him to come back.

“There are still some problems, and we’re not sure of the diagnosis. So we need to wait for the scan.

“Now we are starting to be concerned about him, because it’s nearly three months and we’re still in a situation with no movement.”
