Tottenham are looking to make it three wins from three in the Premier League when Mauricio Pochettino takes his side to his old stomping ground, Southampton, on Wednesday night.

As well as a return for the former manager, both Victor Wanyama and Toby Alderweireld are set to pay a visit to their former employers.

For both sides it is a crucial encounter. Despite winning at White Hart Lane at the end of last season, Southampton have a poor record against Spurs, one they will want to correct, whilst also leapfrogging Everton to get back into 7th place.

Meanwhile, the visitors need a win to ensure they stay just a point from north London rivals Arsenal in fourth place. However, whatever the result Spurs will stay 5th in the Premier League.

The clash on the south coast is the start of a packed week for both sides, with three games in quick succession. With that in mind it would be wise to manage the squad well with a few changes here and there.

So, here are THREE Tottenham men who deserve a crack against Saints…

There is some confusion amongst Spurs fans as to why the 21-year-old, who arrived at White Hart Lane for around £10m during the summer, has yet to really feature for Maurico Pochettino’s side.

The former Saints manager has said his new man needs time to adapt, however, with fixtures coming thick and fast the time may be right to roll the dice and give the forward a go.

Moussa Sissoko

The former Newcastle man has split opinion in north London. There was excitement when the winger, who starred for France at Euro 2016, arrived on Deadline Day – however – there was also some trepidation.

Those who had concerns over Sissoko’s signing have been proved right, however, so have those who were encouraged, he’s shown a mixed bag. After an encouraging performance from the bench last time out, the France international should be given a go from the start on Wednesday.

Josh Onomah

Academy graduate Josh Onomah has seen his fellow youngster Harry Winks break into the side and excel this term, and will feel that he is more than capable of doing the same.

Pochettino is not one to shy away from giving youth a chance, Southampton fans know that as well as Spurs fans, and the Argentine may well use his old ground to show what his current crop of youngsters have got.
