With the transfer window now in full swing, Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the busiest clubs in the Premier League so far this summer.
The Lilywhites have so far signed midfielders Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes from Newcastle United and West Ham United respectively, as well as finalising a move to lure defender Jan-Paul Van Hecke from Brighton and Hove Albion, the former side of current Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi.
The north London outfit have also signed defenders Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi as free agents, with the duo having departed Liverpool and Bournemouth respectively at the end of last term.
Spurs finished 17th in each of the past two Premier League seasons – narrowly missing out on relegation to The Championship each time – and De Zerbi will be expected to oversee vast improvement this time around.
Ahead of the start of the new campaign, though, it appears that one of Tottenham’s current crop of defenders could be on his way to complete a surprise move.

As per journalist Ben Jacobs, Polish side Pogon Szczecin have agreed a deal with Spurs to sign young defender Alfie Dorrington.
It is claimed that the Polish Ekstraklasa side have reached an agreement with their Premier League counterparts, but have not yet finalised personal terms with the player himself.
21-year-old Dorrington joined the Lilywhites’ academy as a youngster and has since had two loan spells with Scottish side Aberdeen, as well as one with Football League outfit Salford City.
In total the defender made 30 appearances across his two spells with Aberdeen, and he was handed his professional debut for Tottenham during a Premier League game against Southampton in December 2024.
