Liverpool are reportedly monitoring FC Porto midfielder Ruben Neves.
New Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is understood to have let the Premier League club’s chiefs know about his intentions of signing the Portuguese starlet during the January transfer window.
The 18-year-old, who has represented Portugal’s Under-21 side nine times, has made five appearances for the Primeira Liga outfit so far this season.
Neves has previously been linked with a move to defending Premier League champions Chelsea, as well as La Liga giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid in the past.
However Porto are unlikely to sell their prized asset for less than the youngster’s £29m buy-out clause.
