Another eventful Premier League weekend saw 30 goals scored in 10 matches, just one of the top-five secure a victory and a certain Leicester City striker break a 12-year record.

But here’s five things we’ve learned from the latest round of matches……

5. Jamie Vardy’s having a party

Jamie Vardy is the talk of the nation after breaking Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record by scoring in 11 consecutive Premier League games.

Coincidentally, the 28-year-old did it against the Dutchman’s former club, as he gave Leicester the lead against Manchester United on Saturday evening.

Vardy is a record-breaker

The England international found himself one on one with David De Gea midway through the first half, and there really wasn’t a glimmer of doubt shown by the the forward as he stroked the ball brilliantly past the sprawling Spaniard.

Vardy’s consistency has helped the Foxes sit second in the table, with Manchester City the only team ahead of them on goal difference.

Leicester have been the surprise side this year but face a series of tough games over Christmas as they face the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Everton.

Will Jamie Vardy still be having a part after these? We’ll have to wait and see.
