With the Premier League just eight games most clubs are already suffering on the injury front.

But, like Liverpool, who were hit with two major blows during the international break, some of the country’s 20 elite clubs have been unluckier than others.

Injuries have struck so harshly that we’ve been able to pull together a crocked Premier League XI, including players that have been ruled out until at least the New Year.

Here are the unfortunate casualties……

GK: Tim Krul (Newcastle United)

The strong point in a very fragile defence, the injury to Tim Krul is a bitter blow to a Newcastle side still looking for their first win. Playing for the Netherlands against Kazakhstan in their Euro 2016 qualifying match, the 27-year-old fell awkwardly on his knee, causing him to injure his anterior cruciate ligament. The Toon Army will now be looking to bring in a replacement, with Victor Valdes being touted for a January switch.

Expected return date: July 2016
