Following an international break full of fierce friendlies and World Cup play-off woes, a North London Derby kick starts this weekend’s return to Premier League action, as Arsenal welcome arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday (12:30).
The Gunners, who lie four points adrift of tomorrow afternoon’s opponents prior to kick-off, are looking to defeat the visitors for the first time in the top-flight since March 2014.
Meanwhile Spurs, who sit level on points (23) with second placed Manchester United in the standings, are looking to record their sixth league victory in seven outings as they attempt to chase down runaway leaders Manchester City.
For Arsene Wenger’s side, summer signing Alexandre Lacazette has hit the ground running in North London, scoring six goals in 12 appearances in all competitions following his £52m move from Lyon.
As for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, star striker Harry Kane is set to return from a slight injury knock that saw him ruled out of England’s friendlies against Germany and Brazil, having netted 13 times in just 14 outings already this season.
So, with both key men set to go head-to-head this Saturday in the North London Derby, here is how Arsenal’s Lacazette and Tottenham’s Kane match up so far this campaign in the Premier League…
