Everton and West Brom are ready to battle for the signature of out-of-favour Man United midfielder Morgan Scheiderlin, according to reports from the Telegraph.

The France international has made just two appearances in the Premier League since the arrival of former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

However, his former manager from Southampton, Ronald Koeman, is ready to offer him a clean start in the top flight, this time at Everton whom he controversially joined in the summer, leaving St. Mary’s behind.

The Dutch manager is not alone in his interest in the former Saints man, who joined the south coast club in their League One days.

The Telegraph claim that West Brom manager Tony Pulis is also looking to bring the Frenchman to his club in January, having seemingly lost out on a move for former Stoke man, Steven N’Zonzi – now at Sevilla.

In his time in the Premier League, Schneiderlin has 127 appearances scoring on 12 occasions, with all but one of those goals coming at Southampton.
