Arsenal will look to build on their weekend win over Manchester United and heap pressure on the top four when they head to the south coast to face Southampton on Wednesday night.
The Saints have been somewhat of a bogey team for Arsene Wenger in recent years, however, the Frenchman has swayed that record back in his favour somewhat this season.
The Gunners were the victors at The Emirates early on in the season thanks to a controversial Santi Cazorla penalty and, despite a 2-0 loss at home in the EFL Cup quarter-final, the north Londoners were 5-0 winners in the FA Cup at St. Mary’s in January.
The Saints, who are yet to beat a top six side in the league this season, will be looking to build on their solid defensive showing in a 0-0 draw with Liverpool by offering far more going forward under the lights when Arsenal come to visit.
Crucial to their efforts going forward is Serbian playmaker Dusan Tadic who, despite a public falling out with manager Claude Puel earlier this year, always has the potential to be the main man for the Saints.
In the visiting camp, Tadic’s German counterpart Mesut Ozil will be hoping to be back at his best after an encouraging performance against Jose Mourinho’s men, but how do the two stack up this season? Take a look…
