With the European transfer window still open until September 2, a number of players may still depart the Premier League.

Eriksen’s Spurs future remains unclear

Tottenham Hotspur are still uncertain as to where star midfielder Christian Eriksen’s future will be, according to reports.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from the North London club this summer as he enters the final year of his contract.

And The Guardian report that Spurs are unsure on the Denmark international’s thoughts due to a breakdown in communication between the playmaker’s agent and chairman Daniel Levy.

It’s thought the Premier League side believe that their creator in chief wants to depart for either Real Madrid or FC Barcelona having shown no sign of wanting to extend his deal.

This has put boss Mauricio Pochettino in a difficult situation with the Argentine boss using Eriksen as a substitute in two of Tottenham’s opening three Premier League games.

Locadia set for loan switch

Brighton and Hove Albion striker Jurgen Locadia is expected to move to Hoffenheim on loan, according to reports.

The Dutchman signed for the Seagulls from PSV Eindhoven for in January 2018 but has scored just six times in 43 appearances.

And despite appearing in two of Albion’s opening three Premier League matches this term, The Argus report that the 25-year-old is on the verge of sealing a temporary switch to Germany.

The Bundesliga side have been on the lookout for more firepower after selling Joelinton to Newcastle United in the summer.

Locadia sat out Brighton’s 2-1 EFL Cup win at Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night.

Leicester sign Irish centre-back

Leicester City have signed a young player in defender Darragh O’Connor, report Wexford FC.

The Irishman has linked up with the Foxes’ Under-23s after a successful trial period with the Premier League club.

Aged 20, O’Connor only joined Wexford in January, making 20 appearances for the League of Ireland club.

Wexford FC manager Brian O’Sullivan told the official club website: “I really wish him well, he was a player who got better every week, his commitment and behaviour was always first class and it’s a great opportunity for him.”
