With the European transfer window still open until September 2, a number of players may still depart the Premier League.
Fiorentina eye Fred
One of those who could leave England for a new challenge is Manchester United’s Fred who reportedly is attracting interest from Italy.
The Brazilian moved to Old Trafford from Shakhtar Donetsk for £47million in the summer of 2018 but has failed to find his best form.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has yet to use the 26-year-old in the Red Devils’ opening three matches this term, opting to play Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba and Andreas Pereira in central midfield.
And Calciomercato report that Serie A outfit Fiorentina are preparing an offer of around £27million for the player.
The Italian side have already signed the likes of France legend Franck Ribery and ex-Portsmouth midfielder Kevin-Price Boateng this summer.
Monreal to make return to Spain
Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal looks set for a move to Real Sociedad, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The left-back, who has played in all three of the Gunners’ opening Premier League matches this term, joined the Emirates side from Malaga in January 2013.
However, with new £25million signing Kieran Tierney fighting his way back to full fitness and Monreal’s contract expiring next summer, it’s claimed that the North London outfit are willing to let the 33-year-old move on.
And it’s claimed that the Spaniard is on the verge of penning a two-year deal with the La Liga side.
Villa snap up highly-rated defender
Aston Villa have seen off a number of fellow Premier League clubs to secure the signing of Nigerian defender Iffy Udanoh, according to AllNigeriaSoccer.com.
It’s claimed that the 16-year-old, who stands at 6ft 4in, was on the radar of eight top-flight English sides and had been given a trial by Liverpool, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
But it’s now reported that following a successful trial with the Villans, Udanoh, who is also eligible to play for England and the United States, has signed a two-year deal at Villa Park.
