Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Presnel Kimpembe has become the latest name linked with a move to Chelsea as the Blues continue their hunt for at least one new defender.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have been linked with the likes of Nathan Ake, Matthijs de Ligt and Jules Kounde in recent weeks, but they may now turn their attention to the Ligue 1 star.

As per Goal, the 26-year-old’s future at the Parc des Princes looks increasingly uncertain as PSG continue to be linked with moves for a number of defenders, including Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar.

A product of PSG’s academy, Kimpembe has made 220 appearances for the French side since making his debut in 2014.

Tuchel is desperate to sign at least one central defender this summer following the departures of both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, especially considering continued speculation linking Cesar Azpilicueta with a departure.

Kounde has been a target for the club for more than a year now and, despite a move looking almost certain last summer, the Frenchman remains a Sevilla player.

Ake and De Ligt have both emerged as targets in recent weeks, although the Juventus star may prove too expensive and Manchester City are reluctant to sell the former Chelsea academy star.
