Rangers have agreed a deal with Chelsea which will see the 15-year-old playmaker Billy Gilmour move to Stamford Bridge the Scottish giants have announced.
Despite being keen to hold on to the teenage sensation Rangers decided to let him leave Ibrox once he made it clear he wanted to move to the academy set-up at Stamford Bridge.
A fee believed to be in the region of £500,000 has now been agreed between the two clubs and Gilmour will make his move this summer.
Although he’s yet to break into the first team, Gilmour has trained with Pedro Caixinha’s squad this season.
Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, were all though to be interested in the Scottish under 17 star. but it is Chelsea who have won the race for his signature and he could now be loaned out next season.

@RangersFC @RFC_Youth At least this way he has a better chance to develop while still at a good age and we wish him all the best

@beautifulmeesh @RangersFC @RFC_Youth Scummy Chelsea poaching our players. He’ll never play either. He’ll be dumped on the scrapheap like the rest of the Chelsea youngsters.

@RangersFC @RFC_Youth Great move financially for the lad but career wise its almost certainly going to be a disaster. Shame but up to him
