Rangers are expected to announce the signing of Arsenal midfielder Gedion Zelalem this weekend.
After missing out on their top target, Hibernian’s Scott Allan to Celtic, the 18-year-old has agreed to join the Scottish Championship outfit on loan.
Zelalem, who has five international caps for the USA Under-21s, played the second-half in the Gunners’ UEFA Champions League fixture at Galatasaray back in December.
Ranger boss Mark Warburton said: “He’s a very talented ball player. He sees a pass, he’s very creative and one of the young gems at Arsenal.
“In my mind he will be a permanent first-team player in the future.”
