Southampton are reportedly monitoring Feyenoord star Tonny Vilhena.
The Premier League outfit, who stunned defending champions Chelsea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge last weekend, are closely following the young midfielder’s campaign and he is shining in the Eredivisie.
The 20-year-old, who has represented the Netherlands’ Under-21 squad 17 times, has already scored three goals in nine appearances in all competitions for the Dutch side so far this season.
Vilhena was linked with a move to St Mary’s Stadium last January and over the summer, but a transfer failed to materialise.
Saints boss Ronald Koeman bought his former teammate Jordy Clasie to the English top-flight in July, and the 52-year-old is thought to be interested in a reunion with Vilhena after working with him when he was boss at Feyenoord.
