Wilfried Zaha has been the subject of constant speculation this season as the winger’s performances have helped keep Crystal Palace just above the relegation zone, and following Saturday’s win over Watford, where the 24-year-old was pivotal yet again, Sam Allardyce decided to speak out surrounding his star player, reports Sky Sports.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Zaha for months and with the winger instrumental in a run which has seen The Eagles win their last three league games, it’s only increased the number of stories suggesting he’s heading to White Hart Lane.

“Spurs were always mentioned because agents or somebody decided to stir the pot,” Allardyce said.

“We all know who stirs the pot behind the scenes even though they deny it, but we know they do it.”

Palace are now a mere four points clear of relegation as former England manager Allardyce looks to plot yet another escape from the drop.

Looking ahead to next season, The Eagles will want to keep hold of their prized asset if they’re to try and avoid another campaign which sees them struggling near the foot of the table.
