Chelsea begin their pre-season preparations with a friendly against Australian side Western Sydney Wanderers on Tuesday, before continuing on a tour of Australia and Asia.
The Blues will face fierce London rivals Tottenham Hotspur during their tour, as well as Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan.
Xavi Alonso’s first competitive match as manager of the club will be against west London rivals Fulham on the opening weekend of the upcoming season, before they host Brighton and Hove Albion in the Spaniard’s first match at Stamford Bridge.
Ahead of the start of the new season, the Blues have been busy in the transfer market, with Morgan Rogers, Geovany Quenda and Marco Palestra all having arrived at Stamford Bridge.
Now, it appears that one of their current players could be on his way to Italy to work under a former Chelsea player.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Serie A side Como have made an improved bid to sign Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.
The journalist claims that Como’s latest offer for the centre-back consists of an initial fee of around £21 million, plus a further £4.2 million in add-ons, making the entire package worth more than £25 million.

Chalobah, 27, is a product of Chelsa’s youth system but had several loan spells – including with Ipswich Town and Lorient – before establishing himself at Stamford Bridge.
The defender has made more than 150 appearances for the Blues at senior level, and was recalled from a loan spell with Crystal Palace midway through the 2024/25 campaign.
Como are managed by former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas and finished fourth in the Serie A table last term, earning qualification for this season’s Champions League.
The report suggests that Chalobah – who was part of the England squad for the World Cup this summer – is keen on the prospect of a move to Lombardy.
