One of Celtic’s summer transfer targets could be set to choose Spain over Scotland and sign for Sevilla, according to reports from Spanish website Estadio Deportivo.

Nigerian youngster Henry Onyekuru has attracted attention from a host of top clubs, including Liverpool, after enjoying a productive season at Belgian side KAS Eupen bagging eleven goals during the campaign as his side look to avoid the drop.

Sevilla are believed to be making the 19-year-old one of their priorities and should they move swiftly once the transfer window opens, there’s every chance they can beat other clubs to Onyekuru’s signature.

Celtic shouldn’t give up on the left-sided playmaker just yet though, as he’s still available and any deal may come down to which manager can convince the player his future lies with them.

Brendan Rodgers, on the cusp of a record-breaking run may be able to sell Onyekuru the idea of joining a club moving in the right direction and with a glowing reputation, especially after the signing of Moussa Dembele from Fulham, by helping young players move to the next level.
