Fulham have reportedly rejected a £10m bid for striker Ross McCormack from Sheffield Wednesday.

The Cottagers knocked back their Championship rivals’ opening bid for last season’s top goalscorer, who only arrived at the club from Leeds United last summer.

The 29-year-old, who cost Fulham £11m little over 13 months ago, scored 19 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions last season during his debut year at Craven Cottage.

With the Owls pushing for promotion to the Premier League this campaign, head coach Carlos Carvalhal wants to bring in a proven goalscorer at Hillsborough before September 1.

However; with McCormack impressing in West London for his current club, Premier League side Norwich City and Championship rivals Middlesbrough have also been linked with the Scotland international this summer.
