Sheffield Wednesday have reportedly had a bid turned down for Brentford midfielder Alan Judge.
The 27-year-old has been one of the standout players in the Championship this season, scoring nine times and assisting seven others.
This has attracted interest from a number of top flight clubs and second-tier rivals, and the Owls have made an early move.
However, the Bees are determined to keep hold of their star man and have knocked back a first offer from the Hillsborough club.
The Irishman signed for the West London club from Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2014 after an impressive loan spell at Griffin Park.
