Shoot’s Chelsea & Arsenal combined XI

Right-back: Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)

With Branislav Ivanovic enduring a terrible start to the season, this selection was an easy one. With pace, athleticism and a good end product, the Spaniard is really starting to look the part in the Premier League.

Centre-back: John Terry (Chelsea)

Chelsea’s captain has had a lot of criticism thrown his way at the start of this term, most of which has been unfair. The 35-year-old was being hailed as the league’s greatest defender a few months back by the same people that are now saying he should hang up his boots. It’s a load of rubbish if you ask us. Terry’s a real leader and easily gets in our XI.

Centre-back: Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal)

Another great athlete, Koscielny has all the physical attributes a world-class defender needs. However, he can sometimes be left isolated at the back and make rash decisions. A natural leader (see the next selection) alongside him would see the Frenchman flourish.

Left-back: Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea)

Like his fellow countryman, you know that Azpilicueta will always give everything he has. The 26-year-old, like his team, hasn’t had the best of starts, but he looked back to his old self in the win over Maccabi Tel Aviv on Wednesday.
