Every team left in the FA Cup at this stage, only has one thing on their minds now as they edge ever closer to Wembley Stadium. Just two wins to go until the semi-finals.

All eyes were on Lincoln City and Sutton United who were on the hunt for another huge cup upset. Lincoln were away to Premier League Burnley, and Sutton at home to the might of Arsenal.

Elsewhere, Millwall, who had already knocked out two Premier League outfits, were looking to do it again, as defending champions Leicester City visited The Den.

There was also the feel of Giants v Minnows at the Riverside, where Oxford United travelled to Middlesbrough, and at the John Smith’s Stadium where Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City faced David Wagner’s Huddersfield Town.

Premier League v Championship opposition was a re-occurring theme, it was also the case at Molineux which saw Wolves face league leaders Chelsea on Saturday evening.

Also on Sunday when it was Fulham v Spurs and Blackburn Rovers  v Manchester United.

After the conclusion of the FA Cup fifth round, bar any replays, here are Shoot!‘s Player, Team and Goal of the Round…

Player of the Round: Harry Kane (Tottenham)

Tottenham’s main man was undoubtedly the star of the show as Spurs advanced into the quarter-finals at the expense of London rivals Fulham.

The England striker netted a all three goals at Craven Cottage, leading his side to a 3-0 victory.

His first of the game came after quarter of an hour, when he stretched to convert Christian Eriksen’s cross from the right hand side, following some quick thinking from Kieran Trippier.

The score stayed like that up until half-time, but Kane grabbed his second not long after the interval.

On 51 minutes, the same combination of Eriksen and Kane opened the Fulham defence up, before the ball was whipped in with pace from the Danish midfielder, meaning Kane only had to glance it goalwards to divert it through the legs of Marcus Bettinelli.

Two for Spurs and two for Kane, and when the number ten went through on goal after 73 minutes,  there wasn’t much doubt of the end result.

Clinically finished to seal both his hat-trick and his side’s place in the last-eight.

Team of the Round: Lincoln City

Unbelievable. Nothing else to say. Danny Cowley’s side have simply gone against what seems to be the common belief that the magic FA Cup is dead, or dying.

As if they hadn’t already made enough of a name for themselves with heroic wins over Championship sides Ipswich Town and Brighton, they only went one better with a win away at Burnley.

Earning a replay would have been great for the club, more revenue to add to the already huge turnover this magical run has earned them.

But no, an 89th minute winner for the Imps meant they’re already in the hat for the next round, the quarter-final. In doing so they broke an FA Cup record, becoming the first non-league team to reach the quarter final in 1o3 years.

The defining moment was Sean Raggetts’s header in the dying embers of the game at Turf Moor. A place where only three other teams have won this season.

A fantastic achievement, a win, and a run that has rightly written Lincoln City in FA Cup legend.

Next up, Arsenal!

Goal of the Round: Chris Maguire (Oxford United)

In the end it wasn’t to be for Oxford United, as their respectable cup run came to an end at the hands of Middlesbrough.

They did however enjoy the game’s best goal, and the round’s finest strike.

At 2-0 down, Chris Maguire scored the first of two goals in two minutes to get Oxford on level terms, before they later went on to miss out on at least a replay, due to a late goal from Christian Stuani.

But what a goal it was!

A free-kick on the edge of the box presented the former Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham United winger with a chance to put The Yellows back in the game, and with a curling, Pirlo-esque effort he duly did.

A stunning effort, over the wall and beyond the diving Brad Guzan in the Boro goal. Well worthy of Goal of the Round!
