It’s S United v S United at the top of League One as Scunthorpe and Sheffield battle it out for the title.

The Blades must be wary though, they’ve dropped points in January and Bolton Wanderers in third have games in hand.

It looks very bleak for Coventry City, both on and off the pitch, while Chesterfield are making a fight of the relegation battle, while the division’s most remarkable result was Bury’s 5-1 win over Peterborough United – the Shakers’ first win in 21 games.

Here are Shoot!’s League One Player, Manager and Goal of the Month Awards for January…

Player of the Month: Josh Morris (Scunthorpe United)

In his first season at Glanford Park, Josh Morris is averaging over a goal every two games – remarkable form for any forward.

He scored in each and every one of United’s league games in January as the Iron picked up ten points from a possible twelve to maintain their push for promotion.

Morris has been a superb signing this year after a disappointing 2015-16 at Bradford City.

It’s all worked out well thus far since though, for both Morris and Scunthorpe.

Manager of the Month: Uwe Rosler (Fleetwood Town)

In his first season in charge at Highbury, the former Brentford and Leeds United manager looks as though he could well take Fleetwood up to the Championship.

They ended January with four wins and a draw, with their only dropped points coming at home to Southend United in a 1-1 draw.

The most impressive result was a 2-0 win away at Sheffield United and Rosler will be eager to keep the momentum going as the business end of the season approaches.

Goal of the Month: Chuks Aneke (Peterborough United v MK DONS)

The former Arsenal youth graduate showcased his blistering shot power with a venomous strike against Peterborough United, in a game where the Milton Keynes Dons midfielder netted twice and teed up another goal.

Unstoppable.

Manager Robbie Neilson (Above) has got the best out of the former England Under-19 international, with Aneke scoring four goals in his last three League One outings.
