Bolton Wanderers remain firmly on the heels of League One leaders Scunthorpe United and midfielder Zach Clough has played a pivotal role in keeping the Trotters’ promotion campaign on track.

The 21-year-old has seven goals to his name already this season, including vital winners against Coventry City and Northampton Town.

Having missed the end of last season through injury, Wanderers will be desperate to keep their former youth team player fit as this campaign enters its second-half.

Manager of the Month: Graham Alexander (Scunthorpe United)

Scunthorpe United’s seeming relentless march to the Championship shows no signs of letting up.
Graham Alexander’s men are, by some distance, the division’s leading goalscorers and ended November unbeaten in six games.

Only a second-half equaliser by Oxford United, the only goal Scunthorpe conceded during the month, stopped them picking up maximum points after they recorded away wins at Coventry City and play-off hopefuls Peterborough United, plus a home win against Oldham Athletic.

Alexander’s Iron are proving nigh-on impossible to break.

Goal of the Month: Stephen McLaughlin (Bury vs SOUTHEND UNITED – November 12, 2016)
