Liverpool (H) – March 20
After Southampton claimed a Europa League play-off spot last season, only to lose to FC Midtjylland, the Saints will want to go straight into the group stages for 2016/17. Putting distance between them and the chasing Liverpool could help that aim; defeating a fair few ex-players would make it sweeter.
Everton (A) – April 16
The Saints haven’t won at Goodison Park since November 1997, but if Ronald Koeman’s side want to reach a top-six finish for the first time in the Premier League, a win against the Toffees could be crucial in achieving that goal.
Tottenham (A) – May 7
After Mauricio Pochettino followed the same path in 2014 that Glenn Hoddle took to North London 13 years earlier, recent feelings between the Saints and Tottenham are pretty frosty. A win for Southampton at White Hart Lane over his predecessor is something Koeman would enjoy, that’s for sure.
