Southampton submit £10m bid for FC Barcelona forward

Southampton have reportedly launched a £10m offer to sign Spain international forward Cristian Tello, according to O Jogo (via Talksport).
The Premier League side, who host Watford on the opening day of the forthcoming 2016/17 English top-flight campaign on August 13, have been linked with luring the FC Barcelona winger to the St Mary’s Stadium this summer.

The 24-year-old, who has one international cap for his country after making his Spain debut against Ecuador back in August 2013, scored two goals and provided five assists in 15 appearances in all competitions for Serie A outfit Fiorentina whilst on loan last season.
Tello, who has also enjoyed a lengthy loan spell with Liga NOS giants FC Porto as well, is ready to be offloaded by Barca boss Luis Enrique this summer.
The report suggests that new Saints boss Claude Puel has made a £10m bid for the Spanish forward; although the Premier League side face stiff competition for his signature as AC Milan, plus former clubs Fiorentina and Porto, are also interested in snapping him up on a permanent deal.
