Tottenham Hotspur consider striker Harry Kane to be ‘untouchable’ this summer, as reports continue to link the Englishman with a move to Bayern Munich.

The England captain is reportedly a target for the Bundesliga champions as they plan ahead for Robert Lewandowski’s departure; the Polish striker is intent on leaving the club this summer.

Kane looked almost certain to join Manchester City last summer, but a move never materialised and he is now believed to be happy with life in north London.

That hasn’t stopped Bayern from showing an interest in the 28-year-old, although it appears that a move is unlikely to happen.

According to Fabrizio Romano, there has so far been no discussion of a move between the two clubs, and there is unlikely to be at any point this summer as Spurs regard him as ‘untouchable’.

The journalist also suggests that those in charge at Spurs are keen to discuss a new deal for the striker.

Kane has scored a remarkable 247 goals in 385 games for Spurs, but is yet to win a trophy at any point in his career, a major factor in his desire to join City last year.

Recent reports have suggested that the player is now happy at the club, though, and believes that working under Antonio Conte could give him the chance to win silverware with Spurs.
