Tottenham have reportedly emerged as the new favourites to sign Argentina ace Ezequiel Lavezzi.
The Premier League side, who drew 1-1 with Everton on Sunday, are hopeful of beating North London rivals Arsenal to the acquisition of the Paris Saint-Germain forward later this month.
The 30-year-old, who has 48 international caps for his country, has scored twice in 15 league games for the defending Ligue 1 champions this season.
Lavezzi, who has entered the last six months of his current deal with PSG, is also attracting interest from Serie A giants Inter Milan following a lack of first-team opportunities in the French capital this campaign.
